Washington, DC
May 16-17, 2006
The Roundtable on Science and Technology for Sustainability held a meeting May 16-17, 2006 in Washington, DC to
introduce new members and to develop a plan for the upcoming year. In
early 2006, the Roundtable expanded and broadened its membership in
order to include a balance of members from government, academia,
nonprofit organizations, and the private sector. After sharing brief
perspectives from the various sectors represented, Roundtable members
discussed a vision and renewed set of goals and principles for the
Roundtable.
Various topics were presented as potential areas for future Roundtable
activity. Presentations on these topics are available by selecting the
links on the right of this page. Some topics, including "Linking Knowledge with Action" and
"Metrics for Sustainability" will be addressed more
in depth during the Roundtable's summer 2006 workshop in
Woods Hole, Massachusetts.
